NE1fm 102.5 Looking for New Volunteers

NE1fm 102.5 are always interested in hearing from anyone who has an interest in getting involved in a full time radio station. We have a vareity of roles within the station that we are always looking for more people to help with, from helping plan events, outside broadcasts, previewing music sent to the station for airplay, to working with IT equipment, learning how to use professional audio equipment & many more.

NE1fm 102.5 Is 3 Years Old!

The first full time community radio station for Newcastle & Gateshead celebrates its 3rd year of broadcast on June 8th 2010.

The station, which currently has over 100 active volunteers and broadcasts 24/7 on 102.5fm across the North East and online at www.ne1fm.net, launched at 8am on June 8th 2007 and has worked with hundreds of members of the local community to date.

NE1fm 102.5 is owned and operated by Community Broadcast Initiative Tyneside Ltd, their aim is to encourage and/or facilitate the development, production and broadcast of community radio, which promotes community learning, cohesion, regeneration, celebration and empowerment.
