A Look Ahead to Tuesday’s Edition of The Lunchtime Special

Tuesday’s edition of The Lunchtime Special with Leon Moat features an in-depth interview with Ray Laidlaw, better-known as the drummer with legendary Tyneside band Lindisfarne.

Active across five decades from 1968 until 2004, Lindisfarne were responsible for hits including “Lady Eleanor” and “Meet Me On The Corner”, but are perhaps best-known locally for the iconic “Fog On The Tyne”.

Laidlaw will be talking to Leon about his life in music, and there’ll also be an update on recent results and happenings with Newcastle United Women’s Football Club.

Additionally, Eric Clapton is Leon’s featured artist for the week, and there’ll be tracks by him throughout the broadcast, as well as great music from across several decades and the usual news updates on the hour.

The Lunchtime Special is live every weekday on NE1fm 102.5 from 12 til 2PM, with a different host bringing their own feel to the magazine show each day. If you’d like a mention during Tuesday’s show, you can call Leon on (0191) 240 1025 during the broadcast.
