New Year, New Shows!

This month sees 4 new shows on the schedule and numerous day/time changes for other existing shows.

We have Jess Hodge, who is presenting her show on Monday from 4pm-5pm,

Mainly looking at music, I would like to research some new artists and play music that people may not necessarily have heard. I would play more of a mixture of Indie and Rock music. But I also like to play some 60s and 70s music. I would like to play some less well known music and find new talent(possibly local bands)
Mostly Indie music mixed with rock, although not restricted to that. Wide range of music, e.g The Lumineers, Phil Collins and The Strypes.”

Mondays also see a change for an existing show, “Dead Air Radio” who are moving from Tuesdays to Mondays from 10pm to 1am.

Tuesdays between 8pm and 10pm is the new slot for League Talk, and once a month following their monthly broadcast, the Elder’s Council of Newcastle’s show “Everyone’s Tomorrow, Today” will be repeated between 2pm and 4pm.

Wednesdays see two new shows- “The Tom Boston Show” takes on the lunchtime crowd from 12pm to 2pm,

My show is a mixture of anecdotes, stories, local and global news, quirky features, comedy, reviews, gossip, observations and general good fun. Each week the listeners will hear what new and often riduclous situations I’ve been getting myself in to. I tackle the big questions, I’m not afraid to get stuck in to a question or a topic. If I think it’s what the good people of the north east want, then that’s what the good people of the north east are getting. I play a great variety of popular music from the past 10 years with the occasional golden oldie thrown in there too. If you’re looking for some easy listening from a Yorkshireman trying to finding his feet in the wonderful city of Newcastle, then “The Tom Boston Show” is the show for you. My obscure and profound take on life will have you tuning in every week for gauranteed giggles.”

-Tom Boston

and also on a Wednesday, 10pm – 12am is the new Punk show, “Blank Generation” presented by Byker Dan.

Newcastle Beats have returned with Mat “Ruckuz” Taylor and Luke “Lukey B” Huntingford at the helm on Thursdays from 8pm-10pm.

On weekends, we have another new show from Chris Moad from 9am-10am on Saturday morning and Jess & James Whinham have moved from Sundays to Saturdays (Jess- 10-11am, James 11am-12pm)

Lots of different stuff to listen to, as well as all the old favourites!
