Silent Houses – New Single – ‘One’

Silent Houses are an Electronic group from Durham/Yorkshire, and is made up of composer, producer & guitarist Chris Shaw & Singer/Songwriter Hayley McKay, who won a national talent competition out of over 1000 people and sang in the film ‘Harrigan’, have been around since 2012. Within two years they have supported the likes of Visage & Hazel O’Connor and got to headline a festival in Germany.

They have just released their new single ‘One’; a waltzing piano ballad about being with someone you love, and feeling like you’re in a bubble. It’s a departure from their usual 80’s inspired electro pop with oriental sounds, and for this track the use of strings and mandolin throws a little folk into the mix.

The video was filmed around the ancient ruins and woods in Richmond, N.Yorkshire by Robert Irish; a musician who also performed on, and helped with the creation of the song.

The ‘One’ single is available to buy now, and includes the b-side ‘Vagabond’.
