Celestial Navigation was a weekly selection of music, interviews, comment and poetry, broadcast live on NE1fm 102.5 every Friday from 4 til 6PM.
The show provided information to get listeners thinking, and was hosted by Amina Evans, who pointed out that “guests may well be poets”.
Special editions of the show were broadcast from the Free Thinking Festival at The Sage Gateshead in 2011, with NE1fm the only local community broadcaster live at the festival.
Amina Evans today co-presents No Excuse, a community-focused look at issues affecting people in the region.
