League Talk is the area’s only programme focused solely on the sport of rugby league, and is live on NE1fm 102.5 every Monday from 9 til 11PM.
The focus of League Talk is on happenings, news and results from across NE1fm 102.5′s broadcast area, although teams from elsewhere in the North East and from further afield are also covered.
Every tier of the sport, from the highest tiers of the professional game to grassroots and junior levels, is afforded coverage. Callers are welcomed on-air to discuss their views, and the discussion is separated by a selection of music from the 1970s onwards.
League Talk frequently welcomes guests from the local game on to the show, with representatives of teams including Newcastle Storm, Gateshead Thunder, Cramlington Rockets and Sunderland ARFLC among the former guests to have appeared.
The current League Talk team is Paul Clayton, Rob Jones, Dean Barnes and David Lee, with former members of the team including Andy Side and Rob Davies. The team are passionate about Rugby League, with Clayton the current Chairman of the Gateshead Thunder Supporters Trust.
