You can start listening in your browser right now by clicking “The NE1fm Webplayer”!
However, if you’d prefer to listen in a media player such as iTunes, or via one of our alternative listening methods, then that’s possible too.
Listen in a Media Player
You can listen using any popular offline media player, including iTunes, Winamp and Windows Media Player, via the links below. You’ll be prompted to download a file, which you can then save to your computer and open for easy access to the online stream at any time, or can alternatively open immediately in the player of your choice.
If you’d like to use a media player other than the three listed above, then this is usually possible by simply using the iTunes link.
If you still can’t hear us, the following two links may be useful – Mobile | PC
NE1fm 102.5 is also listed on the TuneIn Radio app, compatible with most smartphones, for easy access to our online stream on the move. The application is free to download, and once obtained, you can find us by typing in “NE1fm” (without the quotes).
Finally, make sure to remember that we’re live on 102.5 FM at all times across Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead!
I’m experiencing a stop/start stream or cannot listen. Why?
If you’re experiencing playback issues while listening, this is usually due to a lack of bandwidth. The most common cause of this is the active download and upload of files while listening, and this should be avoided while listening to online radio. Likewise, a weak wireless or mobile internet signal is often insufficient for the bandwidth needs of a radio stream. If your problem is that the webplayer does not load, then there may be an issue with Adobe Flash on your device. If this occurs, you may try the “Listen in a Media Player” links or, on a smartphone, use TuneIn Radio to listen.
