Show Profiles – Newcastle Beats

Newcastle Beats is a weekly dosage of beats and breaks on NE1fm 102.5, live every Thursday night at 9PM with Simon Turner and Mat “Ruckuz” Taylor.

Featuring popular genres including drum and bass, jungle, dubstep and trip-hop, Newcastle Beats is the first half of a four-hour electronic session on NE1fm, and is followed immediately by Electric Soup.

Having been part of the NE1fm schedule for some time, Newcastle Beats is the station’s longest-running electronic music show, with Simon Turner hosting it throughout and Mat Taylor joining the broadcast team in 2011.
