No Excuse is a community-focused, monthly radio programme that highlights negative issues facing people across Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead. The show is broadcast on the final Friday of every month from 2 til 4PM.
Each edition of No Excuse focuses on an issue that affects large numbers of people, with previous issues including racism, domestic abuse and financial panic, and planned upcoming topics including homelessness and online gambling.
In the first hour of each programme, individuals that have or are currently experiencing the issue at hand share their experiences via interview, with the second half of each episode dedicated to advice on qualified individuals and organisations.
No Excuse’s overall message is that there is help available for individuals that need it, with the end goal to ensure that those that need help are able to get it.
The programme works in conjunction with a number of local organisations, including Victim Support, Women’s Aid, Whitehouse Lane Youth Club and Gateshead Financial Inclusion, and co-operates with fellow local radio station Spice FM also.

The broadcast team of No Excuse comprises of Amina Evans and Elaine Parker, with Phoenix Dark-Knight and The Cyrenian’s Diane Stewart also contributing to each episode.
