Positivity is a two-hour weekly broadcast featuring news from the charity and voluntary sector, presented by David Revett every Thursday from 5 til 7PM.
The show features information and interviews together with a wide range of music, covering anything with a positive or uplifting message.
The focus of the first hour is on tackling social exclusion, including homelessness, in Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead, including regular guests from organisations working in this field such as The Cyrenians, Crisis Skylight, Depaul UK and Prince’s Trust.
Hour two of each programme includes information from charities and voluntary groups from across the region, including where possible details of how you can find out more and get involved.
Occasionally, the second half of each broadcast explicitly highlights the recovery community. This hour, named the Recovery Hour features information and reviews of events coupled with music, including dedications to local people that have reached milestones in their recovery.
