The Weekend Countdown is NE1fm 102.5′s official start of the weekend, and goes live every Friday at 6PM.
Each week presenter Rob Davies plays some of the hottest tunes about, with an emphasis on the latest hip-hop and R&B, and looks back at what’s been going on over the past seven days.
The Weekend Countdown also features celebrity interviews each week, with the biggest A-list stars among those to have appeared on the programme for a chat with Rob.
In addition to presenting The Weekend Countdown, Rob Davies also led the NE1fm Broadcast Marathon in September 2011 with Gary Barnes, broadcasting for over 72 hours for the benefit of two local charities.
